|friday favorites|

Oh Friday, you're here! I think we all could do a happy dance right now!  I am in the process in re-designing my blog, stay tuned!

Here are five things I love right now on this hot and muggy Friday!

Favorite hair product: devaCurl Light Defining Gel

My all time favorite gel for taming my waving hair on hot and humid days.  I am telling you, use this product and no more looking like Simba during these dog days of summer!

Favorite Motivation Quote

Favorite Workout

I love t-25.  It is the perfect workout routine to do in the morning quick before work.  If you commit to the calendar you will see results! Give it a try!! It is the perfect balance for beginners and experienced.

Favorite Weekend Outfit

Favorite Song (at the moment)

Literally had this on repeat one night earlier this week.  Jack says to me "how many times are you going to listen to that song?!" Obsessed much? Umm, yeah! ---oops.

What has inspired you lately?

baby shower fun!

Hey there!

My mother and I planned my sisters baby shower this past Saturday.  It was supposed to be a surprise, but surprises are always so difficult. Especially when the guest of honor lives in a different state and we have to make up a lame excuse to get her to come home.....

She claims she was surprised until she pulled in the driveway and saw a gazillion cars.. I guess that would give it away huh.  Probably should have planned that one better, oops!

By the look on her face she was pretty happy.  She did arrive an hour late, yes one whole hour my mother and I were trying to entertain guests. Luckily one of the activities we had planned was a bib decorating station.  That kept people occupied for a bit, and we got some good laughs.

"Two bottles please, milk for me, wine for mommy"  -- literally laughed out loud on that one.

We also had little bags set up for "advice for the new mom" and a "bored jar".

For the favors I bought little hand sanitizes from Bath and Body Works and bought cute favor tags from Etsy.  The baby's nursery will be set up as "No Jo Beautiful Butterfly" and the colors are lime green, purple, and white - hence the color scheme of the par-tay.

These may have been my favorite part of the decorations.  I peeled the water bottle labels off and used cute duck tape to wrap them. Such a simple, inexpensive but super cute detail.

Bought these adorable princess crown cup cake toppers from Etsy as well. Obsessed with Etsy, so many cute items to buy!

My attempt to make a diaper bouquet... didn't come out exactly how I expected, but cute nonetheless.

One part of my gift to her.  In the invitations we added a insert that asked for guest to bring a book instead of a card.  I loved Chicka Chicka Boom Boom as a child.

I wrote my niece a sweet note:

Sweet baby girl,
"Sometimes the littlest things take up the most room in your heart" - Winnie the Pooh
With a butterfly kiss and lady bug hug, sleep tight little one.

Over all it was a great day!

Thanks for stopping by!
